I originally wrote this post to replace the inevitable lorem ipsum placeholder text on my very first website. But it also feels like a good place to answer two simple questions: who am I, and what is this all about?
My name is Sasha. I’m a graphic and web designer, specialising in sustainable brand identity and modern website design. I’ve been working in the industry for several years, continuously refining both the creative and technical sides of the craft.
On a personal note, I’m married to a very lovely and very clever woman, and we recently moved from Oxford to Reading.
This isn’t technically my first blog post — I’ve written a few articles for the web design agency I work with — though not many. So while I’m not entirely new to blogging, this is the first post on my own website, which makes it feel significant.
I’ve been told (many times) that starting a blog is a good idea. So here we are.
For now, this space serves three purposes:
- It allows me to see my own coding and styling in action
- It gives Google something meaningful to index
- And most importantly, it gives me a place to practise writing and sharing ideas
In the coming months, I plan to expand this blog into something more substantial. I’ll be writing about graphic and web design, perhaps some travel, and maybe a few reflections on life along the way.
